What Does a Doctor Do?

An exhibit created for ImagineIt! Children's Museum in Atlanta, GA as part of a Georgia Tech Industrial Design Studio in Spring 2010. The exhibit is meant to teach children the role of healthcare professionals to minimize their fear of visiting the doctor as well as inspire in them a curiosity about the role of medicine in the world around them.

My part of the project was to create a play doctors office for children to pique their curiosity about medicine and health and how the human body works. I created a series of dolls to teach children about anatomy and medical procedures (specifically X-rays and broken bones). With Christina Mayo, we created a doctors office scene for children to play with toys designed in the studio to learn about healthcare.
